I’ve heard of the BBC’s meow mixes commercial.
They are the ones that run when you go to the BBC website to buy the programme.
They’ve got the sound effects and they’re really good.
They’ve got that really great feel about them.
So I went and bought it.
The commercial is an hour and a half long and features a meow in a tin of milk and a little bit of milk in a glass.
That’s me in the tin, singing a song called, ‘The Milk Man’, as you might expect.
It was so cute, and the commercial was so well done.
What was it like being in the studio with John Cleese?
Cleese says it was just great.
He says, ‘I’ve been doing this for over 30 years, and I’ve got a few friends who have been singing meow tunes for me, and they do it as well as I do.
So it was great to be in a recording studio, and it’s a great way to get in touch with those people who do the singing.
“I’m just so grateful that I’m still singing meows.’
What’s next?
I’ve had a few phone calls from the BBC asking me to do another commercial, but they’re going to let me go on the air and they won’t tell me what to do.
I’m thinking, ‘OK, let’s do something with my own meow, which is an original song.’
I just don’t know what it is yet.
I just love to sing.
