Russia has deployed its newest combat vehicle in the Syrian desert to bolster its forces in the war-torn country.
But the United States, which has been sending its own combat vehicles into Syria, says it won’t allow Russia to use it in the conflict.
The Pentagon said it had asked Russia to stop deploying the T-95, the Russian version of the T72 tank.
Russia’s T-72 is Russia’s answer to the U.S. Abrams tanks.
Its tanks are also used by the Syrian military.
The T-94 and T-92 tanks are similar to the T90, but the T94 is smaller, faster and has a bigger crew.
Russia has said the T95 will be the “toughest” tank in the country’s arsenal, but that it wont be ready for combat until late in the year.
Russia also has deployed the T54 tank, which is much faster and better armed than the T92.
